One of the great joys of our business is to visit the vendors that supply Brownfield's with the goods that have become the standard which our customers expect.
Prairie Mountain, located in Lockwood, Missouri with a population of 855 in the last census, has partnered with us longer than any other company in the store. We have forged a strong friendship with the Prairie Mountain family over the past 30 years. We share many core values and the mission of our organizations center around great prices, great quality, and great service.
To say we were impressed with the scope of Prairie Mountain would be a vast understatement. They have never forgotten their small beginnings and have not lost sight of their rural American roots. Year after year, employee after employee, expansion after expansion, they have continued to grow and positively impact their community. Beyond the borders of Lockwood, they have a powerful presence in the resort industry and their products are being proudly worn by millions of people who understand the importance of a souvenir.
As we look forward to our 69th season in business, we leave Lockwood humbled by the reminder that it's not just a shirt. The amount of labor and love that goes into each product represents the hard-working men and women across this great country that take pride in their jobs. From entering orders, to creating art, to making the screens, to pulling the garments, to printing the shirts, to drying the shirts, to quality control, to packaging, to shipping...all of it tells a story. When we open the first box this season, we will have a renewed gratitude for the gifts that are inside, for they will become your sweet mementos of our beloved Estes Park.
